Return Policy
At Seventy Seven, we take pride in offering carefully curated vintage clothing. Each item has its own unique history and character, and we are committed to being transparent about any imperfections or signs of wear, which are common in vintage items. We encourage thoughtful shopping and ask that you carefully read product descriptions and inspect provided photos before making a purchase. This helps us reduce unnecessary returns and minimize our environmental footprint.
1. 30-Day Return Policy
We accept returns for vintage items within 30 days of receiving your order. However, returns will not be accepted for any issues related to imperfections or wear that were clearly described on the product page or shown in the photos. We make every effort to provide accurate descriptions and photos of each item's condition, including any visible marks, stains, or signs of wear, as is typical with vintage clothing.
Please Note: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We do not offer free return shipping.
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be unworn and in the same condition in which you received it.
- All original tags and packaging must be intact.
- The reason for return must not be related to disclosed imperfections, stains, or signs of wear.
- You will need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
To initiate a return, please contact us at management@shop-seventyseven.nl. We will provide instructions on where to send the item. Items sent back to us without prior authorization will not be accepted.
2. Return Shipping Costs
We do not cover return shipping costs. Customers are responsible for paying the shipping fees to return any items. We do this to encourage thoughtful purchasing and help reduce unnecessary environmental impact.
3. No Returns for Disclosed Vintage Imperfections
Our vintage clothing is often one-of-a-kind and pre-loved, which means there may be signs of wear, small stains, or imperfections. These characteristics are part of the charm and uniqueness of vintage fashion.
We are fully transparent about these details, and any significant marks or wear are clearly mentioned in the product description and shown in photos. We do not accept returns based on any flaws that were previously disclosed. Please read the descriptions carefully and inspect all provided photos before purchasing.

4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged (beyond any disclosed vintage imperfections) or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately at management@shop-seventyseven.nl. We will resolve the issue by offering a replacement (if available) or a refund. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:
- Customized or personalized vintage items that have been altered at your request.
- Intimate apparel (e.g., vintage undergarments) for hygiene reasons, unless defective upon arrival.
Additionally, sale items and gift cards are not eligible for return.

6. Exchanges
Because vintage items are often unique and one-of-a-kind, we cannot guarantee availability for exchanges. The best way to secure a different item is to return the original item (if eligible) and make a new purchase.
7. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
For customers in the European Union, you have the right to return your order within 14 days of receiving your item, under EU law. This right applies even if the item is not defective.
Please note that the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to issues related to disclosed imperfections or signs of wear, as these characteristics are part of the nature of vintage clothing.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal during the 14-day period, please ensure the item:
- Is unused, unworn, and in the same condition as when you received it.
- Has all original tags attached and is in its original packaging.
Return shipping costs for cooling-off period returns are the responsibility of the customer.
8. Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please remember that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at management@shop-seventyseven.nl.
